Define the collection contract
List the permitted source URLs, fields, refresh interval and retention period before choosing a proxy. Check access terms and robots guidance. An IP address does not create permission to collect or reuse data; exclude account pages, private information and unnecessary personal data.
Separate network access from extraction
Choose Datacenter for routine permitted endpoints, Residential for an explicitly required residential context, or ISP for a repeatable allocated set. Use your own parser and schema validation. CloudCity proxy connectivity is not a structured extraction API, browser renderer or CAPTCHA-solving service.
Run a small, observable job
Start with one authorized URL. Bound concurrency, response size, retries and total bytes. Save a timestamp, source URL, content hash and parse outcome. Treat 403 as an access policy to investigate, 429 as a signal to slow down, and repeated authentication errors as a reason to stop.
Deliver a dataset that can be checked
Deduplicate records by a stable source key and retain provenance. Track missing fields and schema changes separately from network failures. Estimate bandwidth from the pilot including errors and retries, then confirm the actual billing unit and allowance before scaling.
